LEGO is 50 today!

Voted the best toy of the last century, LEGO celebrates its 50th birthday. Kids, and some grownups, have been making fun stuff out of the colourful bricks for five decades, and that's worth celebrating in my book. LEGO has succeeded by having a classic toy that taps into kids love of creating things, as well keeping themselves relevant with cool videogame tie ins and great licenced LEGO sets, like the forthcoming Indiana Jones LEGO.

Here's to another 50 years!
