Legendary British toy company has purchased another legenedary British toy company - Corgi.

Corgi, founded in the 1930s, is famous for its model vehicles. Hornby said Corgi was "a fantastic brand and has a superb reputation worldwide". Horgi also owns Scalextric, Airfix and Humbrol paints.

In The Night Garden Blanket Time Iggle Piggle won the coveted Toy Of The Year award at the annual Toy Retailers' Association dinner, held ruing the recent Toy Fair.
